not sure what to say...
Marco Antonio R. 21.03.2015
Not sure what to say about this pedal. I am actually returning it, which is rare for me when it comes to Thomann.... I wanted a two-button, stereo footswitch with LEDS for my amp, to switch channels, and the reverb on...and be able to tell on stage if they're on or not....it aint working with this one.
The functions don't work on my amp(?). Plus, the bulbs are so small, you can't tell the difference. My suggestion is to investigate well before deciding. I actually consulted a Guitar Tech from Thomann before buying it, but it didn't turn out to be the right suggestion.

Why an original, if the copy is as good as the original! :)

This is a really satisfying switch!

I needed a foot switch for my Engl Thunder Head Amplifier to switch between Channels "Clean to Crunch" and between "Crunch to Lead".

Of course you can buy the original Engl Foot Switch Z-bla. But it costs 79 EUR instead of 29 EUR for the H&K .

Furthermore I think the H&K is not only cheaper, it is also as tough and reliable as the Engl Foot switch.

And does the H&K fullfil the same functions ?

It does! And it does a lot better! :-) Because it is angled sharper and easier to step on.

For me it was one of the best buys ever! ;-)

FYI: I am using it since one year and had no problems.

Solid switch with little to complain
Anonymous 31.01.2015
The Hughes & Kettner FS-2 is a two-channel footswitch, which is primarily designed for the various H&K amplifiers on the market but works equally well on most other amps I've tested it on (as long as they support two-channel-switches). I use two of them with a Tubemeister 36 and they do their job pretty nicely (even if the Tubemeister is a 3-channel amp, this footswitch works pretty intuitively and has never elt me down so far).
The design is good, the switches are easily reachable and the are their distance allows easy access without accidentaly hitting both.
The case is solid metal and is heavy enough to withstand the rough use on tour, the switches are also solid and allow for noiseless channel switching (and this for almost ten years with my first one now).
The only possible weak spot is the cable, which is not very thick and could be prone to snap at the case entry (had this issue with another H&K switch).
Overall, especially considering the good price, it's a sure recommendation.
Thomann service and shipping time as outstanding as always :)

Hughes&Kettner FS-2

The Hughes&Kettner FS-2 is a very robust pedal opening up all the functions of the Tubemeister 18 amplifiers. The pedal is of metal construction and has 2 metal foot switches and 2 lights,No lights clean channel, light 1 for overdrive channel and light 2 for more gain. This is combined with a decent length of cable and a none slip panel underneath, which is a nice touch for what is an essential pedal for the Tubemeister 18 amplifier.
