Simple and reliable.

I bought this for my Vox AC30 C2 to act as a switch for the built-in reverb and tremolo effects. Needless to say, it functions exactly as expected. Foot-switch 1 controls the reverb (On/Off) and foot-switch 2 controls the tremolo (On/Off). Both are latching foot-switches, and the each has a red LED that illuminates when the switch is engaged or latched.

They are not labelled, so you'll just have to remember which is which, but I'm sure you're sophisticated enough to manage that. Worst case scenario, you can add your own labels until it becomes muscle memory.

The product is a fair size, meaning if you want it on your pedal board, it will eat up some room. Attachment wise, I use a bicycle chain links, which were easy to slip onto the screws holding the body together. The underside is smooth and will take Velcro too, if you wish.

The colour is all black, and the printed Vox logo is of a high quality, and has not faded or scuffed in the time I have owned it.

It's powered from the amp (for the LEDs), so you don't have to worry about that. It's very well built and sturdy, and will obviously be able to take a stomping. I've owned this product for about six months, and it's never let me down.

The lead itself is standard. As the foot-switch will not be in your signal chain, there is no need to mention how it effects your guitar's tone. I did use it once as a stand in from guitar to amp, and noticed no drop in tone.

As always, Thomann's pricing is very competitive and fair. Shipping was instant and the item arrived very quickly.

Overall, I would certainly recommend this product if you are looking for a foot-switch to control your amp's inbuilt reverb and tremolo effects. I have no idea whether this works with other Vox models, or if it works with other brands of amp; however, I certainly doubt it would.

Not for Katana 50, but great quality

I bought the footswitch, hoping that I can use it on my Katana 50 MK2 amp. But it does not work properly. It changes effects, but has trouble switching banks.
The footswitch is very well built, light and has a cool design. To me, it looks like a quality product.

Built like a tank, reliable and has LED's to see when they're on or not.
Considering this is meant only for Reverb and Tremolo, it would have helped if instead of 1 & 2 they would have put the names of the effects. Also although its built like a tank, i'm sure it could have been a little smaller and more pedal board friendly.

Strong build, fits the pedalboard. It is pretty big, though. Would've loved it to be a little smaller.

Only problem I had was (my own fault really) that you obviously need a stereo cable to use both footswitches. Regular guitar cables - ofcourse - are not stereo. My channel switch works, but my reverb switch does not.
I did check with a stereo cable I had lying around and that worked fine and I was able to control both the channel and the reverb.

Keep in mind that stereo cables are more expensive than regular cables and don't come in all the various sizes.
