Great instrument

After having JSM10 for about 5 months, it's time for a short review.
You all know the specs so I won't talk about that.

The intonation and action were set very nicely at the factory, no problem there.
Neck is perfect, feels a bit thicker than on AF75 and AK95 I have.
The fret edges are super smooth, one of the best I've ever played.
Finish is very nice, I tried very hard to find a flaw, but there is none.
Tuning machines are smooth and tuning is very stable.

The pickups are listed as Super 58, but looking on Ibanez site they are not the same as in the jsm100 model. They sound great nevertheless.
I've put a set of Thomastik Jazz swing 11 (flatwounds) which further improves the sound IMO.

The only bad things on my guitar were the bridge and the tailpiece. The gold color disappeared from the bridge near the top post and the tailpiece started to tarnish in a very bad way in less than a month.
Judging from the looks of still shiny gold hardware on my 2011 Ibanez AK95 I don't know how these two pieces slipped through quality control.
I replaced them with Gotoh GE103B-T and GE101ZG which are noticeably better although I really like the Quik Change III idea.
The pickup covers and tuning machines show no trace of tarnish though.

All in all great sound and playability, well worth the price.

Amazing!

I expected the guitar to be good but its much better then i thought, its such a joy to play it, tuning is very stable, neck feels a bit tick at first but i just needed couple of hours and now it feels perfect, finish is just flawless, no imperfections what soever. pickups are hot, with a little bit of gain you can easily get that Sco tone.

Amazing guitar!

It's the first time I buy an Ibanez guitar. I bought it not only because I am a huge fan of John Scofield.. After checking many other semi-acoustic style guitars and labels, I think I did the best choice. I play professionally, live and studio. Talking about Thomann, the guitar was shipped very quickly and with good protection and excellent communications.
Perfect solo and rhythm instrument, especially for blues, jazz and funk styles! It has multiple sound options through its pickups, suitable to any music style you may want to play. Its ebony fingerboard is comfortable and I didn't get tired even after 4 hours of live playing! The guitar came with an elegant, ideal for travelling, hard case.
I absolutely recommend JSM10-VYS!
