I spent years searching for the perfect metal pick. Standard picks have a round tip that sometimes get in the way of playing fast, jazz 3 picks are good for fast solos too small for aggressive rhythm playing, and the rounded edge soften the attack.
These Ibanez pick combine the best elements from elsewhere: the sharp tip allows for fast soloing, the straight edge and stiffness of the pick give a great attack tone, and they have a nice grip to not slip between your sweaty fingers on stage.

A Decent Pick with Rubber Wear Issues
SpearDog 19.07.2023
The Ibanez PPA16MRG initially impressed me with its comfortable grip and precision, earning it a 3-star rating.
However, after just three weeks of use, I noticed a significant issue - the rubber on the pick began to fade away.
While the pick's initial performance was satisfactory, the deterioration of the rubber grip affected its usability and feel. The fading rubber made it challenging to maintain a secure grip during extended playing sessions, leading to potential slips and reduced control over my playing.
Despite its favorable attributes, the rubber wear issue is a significant drawback that cannot be overlooked.
If Ibanez addresses this problem in future releases, the PPA16MRG has the potential to be an excellent pick choice. Until then, I would recommend exercising caution before investing in this particular model.

Mein Standard Plek
VR46 06.05.2020
