Best quality-price option for a baritone.
Cesar Ribas 27.02.2021
I wanted to start experimenting with baritone guitars and after some research I decided to get the Ibanez RGIB21. It is a very solid guitar. For this price, the specs are excelent.

The pros:
Versatile range of tunings thanks to the 28" scale length".
The Gototh locking tuners offer great tuning stability.
EMG's is a great pickup option for this price range.

The cons:
EMG's are in my opinion too moody for lower tunings.

Arrived used, scratched and with broken strap pin
WillamRockwell 16.07.2023
It is the second Ibanez I have ordered from Thomann. Previous one was - RGD61ALA, arrived with broken pickup screws, scratched and electronics did not work. Obviously, that guitar was completely broken. How did it pass through the check - I don't know. But it was opened and then sealed by Thomann.
As well as this one.
It has severe scratches, in two places there are even thick (2cm) scratched lines for whole body's length. And tons of micro scratches.
There is damage on headstock under truss rod cover from some tool.
Upper strap pin can not be tightened, screw just rotates, as well as strap pin. So it is broken and has to be fixed.
String ferrules have some glue or damage around them, hard to say.
Second time I order Ibanez from Thomann - second time I get used and sometimes even broken guitar "as new". Maybe that's the last time I order instrument here.
Apart from that, guitar has an average to good build quality, EMGs may be a bit muddy for such low tunings, intonation is good, strings are tight, tuning is stable, there is a slight hole/damage on fretboard that is not very noticeable. Locking tuners are nice, but I have seen two reports that they break, maybe bad batch or something. Good guitar if you will be lucky enough to get actually NEW one, not used.

Excellent sound and bad quality
Faceless 29.09.2021
The guitar sounds awesome, but the quality of the guitar is super low.
It looks like someone used it long time and then decided to sell it as new.
After I have received it I have been disappointed its quality.
I don't refund it because everything else is good.

Baritone perfection
Andrei Sokolianskii 06.02.2023
Incredible guitar. For its price range, perhaps the best. A simple and very comfortable baritone machine. I recommend it to everyone.
