D
my second purchase
DCLA 31.05.2020
i already had one of these on my pedalboard hooked to a Mesa DR, with heavy distortion going into the red channel.. and oh boy it could get loud. this little pedal took care of all of that, and did not eat away from my sustain while doing it. very slightly.. def ntg i cant live with during soloing.. silent as a sleeping baby when its on, i play a lot of riff driven songs and palm mutes and cut offs are clearly mute and silent.. not a hum.. i bot this second unit for my JCM800 setup.. took a bit more -db to get rid of the noise but did the job nonetheless.. when its on the amp is completely silent. one note, for what its worth, the unit works better going into the amp then it does going thru the fx loop. takes less db to shut off the noise.. i put mine after all the noisy pedals, but before delay and reverbs.... on the Mesa setup i also have a Zuul going thru the fx loop.. yes, it takes both of them to tame the pedal/amp combination i have going on.. on the JCM, all i need is one.. ive been a long fan of isp products, they do one thing and they do it right.. everyset up i create will have one of these on it !!!

It's so good I bought a second one for my other amp
Robert Peterson 26.02.2021
This is a fantastic pedal that features automatic mode-switching technology that rivals noisegate/noise reduction pedals several times the price. This isn't a "four cable" noise reduction, but it's versatile enough so that you can plug it into the front of the amp to get rid of any guitar noise or plug it into your FX loop to get rid of any amp noise.

This thing tames any noisy high-gain amp or guitar pickups.

What noise?
Andy from Expectations 20.07.2022
Sometimes buying something more expensive ends up being cheaper in the long run!

This little guy does exactly what it's supposed to do and does so amazingly well - it removes all the useless hiss bleeding into your guitar tone, be it from the pickups, grounding, effects etc.

Nice and long sustain, no high-end cut, unless cranked to the max of course, (which you shouldn't).

This pedal is built very well and for such a compact size, you can't go wrong with ISP.

Life changing is what it is.

T
Terrible presentation, a noise supressor that adds hiss
TiagoTi 14.05.2020
The pedal is great and is definitely one of the best around.
Very sturdy and with a smooth knob.

Now the complaints:

-First the presentation on this.
The original and the V2 Decimator look stunning but this 145EUR Deci-mate pedal looks like a 25EUR purchase from wish.
The unit arrived in a blank box with a black and white sticker, pedal was inside a small pouch and the manual was a poorly folded A4 sheet of paper.

-Second: At first I thougt the unit had no filtering on the DC power and would introduce noise/hiss unless you had a decent DC power supply.
So I got a nicer DC supply and the unit still introduces noise/hiss as soon as it is turned on.

Third: The LED is way too bright and makes it hard to see the knob without covering LED first
