Gutes Ride für leises Spiel
nonrad 08.10.2020

Good in isolation…

but not in a mix.

The cymbal sounds nice and dark on it’s own, but when the lower frequencies of the cymbal are covered up with other sounds, the remaining dry high end sticks out in an ugly way. The cymbal has a very dry stick attack, that may sound good from some perspectives, but can’t be heard or sounds weird from others. Your fellow musicians will likely primarily hear an amorphous muddy wash that doesn’t open up with dynamics.

Most of the bad points apply to any raw, unlathed cymbal in my opinion. This is a good one in that category but still has too many drawbacks to be worth the money.
