Floyd rose special, not the best one.
Varans 23.04.2024
My first guitar with Floyd. The guitar itself is comfortable, I have big hands so I like a longer scale guitar than a standard les pol. You just have to expect that over time the gold hardware paint will rub off and the matte finish of the guitar will polish off shiny where you touch it. I have no problem with that. Only guitars foyd are shit. You will have to change saddles of the floyd 100% to the guitar stay in tune. Maybe the locking nut too.

Super Gitarre! Mein Modell mit Abstrichen...
MikeSeed 26.01.2022

DANKE, alles gut jetzt!
Uneingeschränkte Kaufempfehlung!!

The cheap Floyd Rose throws the pitch of by 20-30 cent
Klok' 11.01.2024
The Floyd Rose Special on this guitar is garbage. If I pull it up and then tune the guitar, and I then divebomb, the pitch is off by 20-30 cent, unless I pull it up again. So it takes some luck to play in tune after using the tremolo. If I decide to keep the guitar, I will have to swap out that useless parody of a tremolo (I am actually used to Floyd Rose licensed tremolos, so it is not like I'm just against the brand).

The fifth string was already unwinding after a few minutes of playing. But I don't expect much from the strings on a guitar at this price.

The black finish feels smooth. However, it feels like the guitar was poorly cleaned between sanding and finishing. It feels like there are tiny sand grains in the finish. I found more than 10 of these. You can rub them off with a fingernail.

I would have liked a bit more roundover on the edges of the body. They are sharpish, and the arm bevel is kind of small and aimed too far back - as if you were supposed to have you right hand above the Floyd Rose tuners. So you actually get to feel the sharpish roundover.

The fretts are wonderfully large. I really like that. When you get up high on the frettboard, it would have been nice, if they were a bit more rounded. I might do this, if I decide to keep the guitar. It would also have been great it the edges of the frettboard had been rounded a bit more. It only has what looks like a tiny 1 mm chamfer. If you use your left thumb on the sixth string, you may find it to be a tight corner to get around.

The neck has a slightly odd shape somewhere between flat and c-shape. It has not given me discomfort. So maybe, I'll be able to adapt to it. The top of the binding is white. The sides of the binding is bone coloured. Also here, the paint job is likely not something that will actually make you smile. To me, it is just something that is there. At this price, I don't care to be bothered by it.

The tuners don't feel too smooth. The ones on the headstock are like the paint on the binding. They are there. They likely will not make you smile. Sine there are string locks at the nut, I'm not bothered by it. The tuners on the Floyd Rose are somewhat nasty to turn, if your fingers are mostly used to office work and playing guitar. They are tight. So they need to be grippy for you to turn them. They are grippy. Due to this combination, I find them uncomfortable. Again, if I keep this guitar, I'll have to change the Floyd Rose Special, since it is so poor at keeping the guitar in tune anyway.

The pots are very low to the body of the guitar. Then are tight to turn, and it makes a smooth scraping sound as if the actually touch the finish. also the taper is kind of strange. If the knobs were numbered, I'd say you get quite a boost going from 8 to 9.

The pickups are individually not much to my taste. Funny enough, I like them a bit more when combined. If I keep the guitar, I'll change the pickups too.

Why may I keep it? It is a satin finish guitar with a neck thru design with fine access to the high fretts, and it does not seem to bother my right hand, though the neck shape is a bit odd.

Hyvä mutta: Ne nauhat!
Nupe 17.10.2022
On se vaan jännä juttu: sama minkä alle tonnin kitaran tilaa niin ensimmäisenä se pitää täällä Suomessa kiikuttaa soitinrakentajalle ja hiotuttaa nauhat jotta kielet saa kohtuullisen alas ilman särinää. Siihen menee extra 100 euroa!
