A bit too soft
Anonymous 15.08.2016
The Kawai SC-1 Softcase looks good and looks like a good buy, but the lack of corner reinforcement and its 'left-handed' design let it down:?
1] Corners need reinforcement: although the case has wheels, they can't come into play until the case is unloaded from a vehicle. It being unwieldy (an encased 88-note keyboard always is), a corner is bound to rub against something in the process of standing it up ready to wheel, or when negotiating turns (not all load-ins are straight lines). Because there's no reinforcement on the bottom corner areas, the fabric began fraying within a couple of gigs, despite careful handling.
2] Straps/zips on the wrong side (for most people): the orientation is determined by where the wheels are, and means when using the straps (eg to load the keyboard into a van), the right hand will be using the handle to steady the case, while the left does the heavy lifting with the straps. Sadly, I'm one of the c90% of humans who is not left-handed.
Smart-looking, however, with a useful pocket for leads (although put too much in and the case won't be stable when leant up against a wall).

Elegant Protection: A Review of the Kawai SC-1 Softcase
Joves Productions - Arts & Events 15.01.2024
The Kawai SC-1 Softcase is designed to offer a blend of protection and style for musicians on the go. Tailored for specific Kawai instruments, this review examines the softcase's features, durability, and overall functionality to determine its suitability for daily use and travel.

The standout feature of the Kawai SC-1 Softcase is its custom-fit design. This ensures that instruments snugly fit inside, providing optimal protection against bumps, scratches, and the elements. Such precision in design is crucial for musicians who frequently travel with their instruments and need assurance against potential damage.

Another significant aspect is the SC-1's material quality. The use of high-grade fabrics in its construction not only offers durability but also adds a touch of elegance. This blend of strength and aesthetics is particularly appealing to professionals who value both functionality and appearance in their gear.

Additionally, the softcase is equipped with comfortable and sturdy handles, making it easy to carry. This ergonomic feature is essential for musicians who travel or commute, providing convenience and reducing physical strain.

AR
Good padding, seems robust

I've got it for a yamaha p-515, apparently it has enough room inside for it, but I didn't try it yet with it.
I used it with a Thomann SP5600 though. It fits inside nicely and you have enough room the the pocket for the sheet stand, pedal and the power supply and even more.
It has three handles, one at each end that might be useful if two persons are lifting it to put it in a car or something like that.
The wheels should be very useful as p-515 is 22 kg.

Not high enough durability for this price
LatvianSF 15.12.2021
Considering that this bag is suited for Kawai MP7SE, I'd wish that it could deal with its weight better. Unfortunately, it did not and some tears appeared quite soon. I think that without Covid and more frequent transporting, it would have broken down after 2 years.
