Really happy with this whistle, but it is no longer tunable.
Egilford 27.06.2022
I received this whistle on Thursday, so l haven´t played a lot on it yet, but l am very happy with the rich sound in this whistle. Some say it takes a lot of air, and that is true in the 2nd octave, but in the 1st octave l find it very easy to play and get clean notes. When l go to the higher notes like high F and above it takes some air, and the notes are not so easy to play, but this is not necessarily the whistle´s problem. It could just as well be my skills that are not good enough. If it is my problem it should improve over time. All in all, l am very happy with this whistle. It is now being made in one piece, so it cannot be split or tuned like previous models. For me this is not a negative thing. Now l am awaiting my mezzo A. Looking forward to that and to see how that one will play. I like these new Busker whistles, because they are going back to basics with pure joy of playing without becoming too technical. So, l would buy this again.

For those who like challenges...

This whistle is extremely loud and when I say extremely, I mean it. It needs a lot of air and great control of blowing in the higher octave. High F# can still be played, but G, A, B and C# are difficult to control, while the highest D is practically impossible to play.
The large hole design for such soprano whistle is an unusual choice. I would say that it is a very specific instrument and that its primary task is to be extremely loud. The tone is nice and warm, but it takes struggle and persistence to master the instrument.
I see that a few of customers returned that instrument, but I'm not giving up on it. I will probably use it for some specific situation when recording music. The lower octave is very nice and the large holes allow a lot of room for expression.
I will not return it, I will leave it for special occasions. I'll probably play it less than the other whistles I own, but I have a feeling I'll definitely need it.
The craftsmanship is impeccable, the whistle is robust, precisely made, the intonation is good, only the design is specific, so playing requires patience and practice.

Built like a tank

It has a distinct tone (not in a bad way), looks and feels sturdy.
It's also very loud.

G
Very Disappointed With This Whistle
Greadore 20.12.2022
I received this whistle and was very disappointed with it. It was not playable as it was impossible to play most of the notes in the second octave even when using a lot of air and the notes that I could reach had a “screechy” sound. I have a Kerry V5 Low D and am very happy with it so I was surprised at the poor quality of this whistle. Perhaps I received a “dud” but I had to return it and get my money back.
