The good stuff! Nuff said. Thomann sells them. Get some.
Tune up and rock out.

Good budget replacements
Jezzaboy 18.04.2020
Cheap tuners are part of the reason some basses are lower price. You cannot spend £300 and expect USA quality. Usually I would buy a set of Schaller tuners as they are my favourites but they are about £70-£80 delivered.

I recently picked up a cheap Squier and thought I would try the Kluson tuners to keep the cost down. They are quite good and keep the vintage look I was looking for. I still prefer my Schaller`s but for a budget bass, these do the trick fine.

Tuners ok, screws are very bad
MicDecorte 18.02.2026
Tuners look like they are quality.

The screws are very bad. If you ‘re going to buy these tuners, buy some other screws with it. I had 3 screws where the head came of. I pre-drilled the holes. 2 broke of before I could tighten the screw. 1 broke of while thightening.

I will replace the screws because I don't feel confident that they will stay tight in the future.

Tuners are OK but screws way to fragile
clowl 02.07.2025
I bought these tuners for an original Fender MiM neck. When mounting the tuners half the screws broke (head broke off) before it was fully tightened. Gave me a lot of extra work drilling out the metal and fitting new screws.
