Almost forty years ago my parents bought a K&M music stand for me with a walnut tray and -desk on top.
It is very heavy so not intended to use as a mobile stand to bring along for gigs, but I always had it at home in the living room.
Then I left the nest and the music stand was stored in a humid basement for some decades.
When I got own kids and they started playing music my parents found my old stand from the basement.
The metal stand and walnut tray looked as if new, but the walnut laminate on the desk had come loose and chipped off here and there.
I never thought I would find a replacement desk that fitted to my old stand so I didn’t believe my own eyes when I found an identical spare part walnut desk at Thomann Music.
After so many years they still have all the spare parts necessary and even new gadgets to add to the functionality.
Everything fitted perfectly, even the attachment holes pattern for the bolts and nuts, and for a fraction of the price of buying the whole set new.
The music stand assembly is stable and secure and the walnut desk makes it look like a piece of furniture.
In addition it is very practical as the desk is tall and wide so plenty of space for several sheets and a lamp on top.
Now I always had an additional tray below, but the shelf on the desk itself has ample space for pencils, rubber, resin and more. But if you play from a music book and need to turn pages it is still practical with a tray below.
