The new, extremely compact saxophone stand "Saxxy" provides support for Eb alto saxophones. The highlight: The collapsed stand can be stored and transported in the supplied velours bag, placed in the saxophones bell.

Too much attention to compact design and not enough attention to adjustability to suit different sax shapes.
The rubber sliders do not provide a a safe solution for my 1928 CG Conn or Selmer reference 54 altos.
Build is good, but design not good. i Lost a little confidence in K&M as a result.

K&M 14340 Alto Sax Stand Saxxy Review
James342 29.06.2013
The stand: Strong, sturdy, well designed. Fits nicely inside the bell of the sax. (Just give it a twist and it'll move even further down so as not to stick out when going in a case).
The price: Best I could find - I'm in the UK and Thomann was still the cheapest place to get this stand. Obviously check for yourself but certainly the best price at time of writing. Delivery was quick. If you've used Thomann before you'll know already, but the delivery service is always v.good.
Conclusion: Great stand! Go for it, you won't regret it.

Great Idea
Anonymous 27.07.2014
Hi .
This stand is very small but holds my sax very well.
It's a great idea and you can fold it down easily (once you get the knack).
You then place it in it's bag and you can put it in the bell of the sax ,or in your case for traveling .
It takes only a few seconds to assemble

Perfect portability
Anonymous 12.11.2014
Having spent years dragging around a bag with stands as well as my saxes, when I first saw a Saxxy stand I was sold immediately. Being able to rehearse and gig taking only instrument cases with the stand inside the bell is fantastic. If you have fitted cases like Hiscox, SKB or Berkeley it can be a bit tight for space and limit what else you can fit in but I would highly recommend them. I now barely use my traditional style K&M stand and almost never for my alto.
