Feels that, if you are unlucky, it could scratch inside of the bell when the trumpet is placed on it, but it will happen quite deep, so you will never actually see it (hopefully) & I definitely wouldn't use my trumpets bell as a storage compartment for it (you can find such suggestions on the web).

I've had this for nearly 5 years now and it is as good as the day I got it. It packs up and fits inside the horn in its case so you can take it around with you. Legs are made of metal and guess this is why it has stood up to 5 years of wear and tear.
