Excellent quality!

Great product, excellent build quality. Works as advertised, no problems whatsoever.

Extra points for having separate European and American threads on each end. This has already saved me many time consuming searched for those tiny adapters that always seem to disappear when you need them.

Great product of the typical excellent K&M quality. Highly recommended!

PR
Thomann only,,,,
Peter R. 438 14.08.2023
By the quality & reliability of many items I have received from thomann over the years, I simply expect everything from thomann to be very good, here again is another example of thomann choice of "yes" or "no" to stocking items.
This short boom is so well designed with a different mic thread on each end, it can be used for many different on'stage jobs. I use it as a small gig mic boom, on a cast iron base mic stand.
I use a big body guitar, so I need at least my guitars 'fatness' between my mic stand and my 'mouth' this boom is that exact fatness plus enough for me to move some to the music, perfect, & I can screw a counter ballance of a few ounces on the other end of the boom, which really stabilises my mic & it's stand.
The centre se/saw screw is plenty strong & tough, so no mic droop 'as you sing'.
All told, this little boom is exactly all I needed for my few small venue gigs.
I suppose thomann must test run their stock items on stage, for a yes or no to stock items.
Only good for us musicians. ☑️🎶

More useful than you'd think
mjfe2 23.10.2017
We got this after reading the Sound on Sound review. It's useful for sessions where you want to 'hang' an LDC mic from above a singer, though you'll need a substantial boom arm to support a mic this way. Handling is generally good but it's a shame they didn't make both threads 3/8" because adapters to make the thread bigger are more ubiquitous than 5/8->3/8" ones, and you then don't have the k&m threaded washer.

Great ad on to my mic stands
HowieCapowie 18.01.2019
I ordered 2 of these to use as add on's on my mic stands and use them as overheads. they are buildt sturdy and does the job. The price is nothing to say about.
a clever solution is that they have both std mic stand threads in each side of the boom arm. This allows for creative use, and you can have 2 mic's on one boom (mid/side or blumlein config.) depending in the mic attachment .. i have yet to try it out, but it will be down the line).
