Both threads are long enough for all kinds of aplications unlike the other 1/4 to 3/8 adapters on the market - all your expensive gear, cameras, light holds on 1, 2 threads which is super risky. It's easy to tighten, all the small dings around the edge are really sharp so it's easy to hold it firm with the fingertips.
