The black coating is very fine and comes off after a couple times you screw them in.
They are also very easy to dent so if you are looking for a clean looking rack maybe you should be very careful or buy something else.
I said clean looking rack because they are slotted, which is very uncomfortable to drive in and the only reason to buy them is because you want that look :D
Besides, if you just need them to tighten up some rack modules they work just fine and will probably never fail.

I prefer the Phillips head screw for stability. This one has the flathead screw..

Good screws
BattleAngel 02.08.2021
I used them for Adam Hall STRS6U Rack Stand 6U, instead of screws sent together with this rack. What can I say... they do their job. The painting went away in a few screws in the place where screwdriver was used. But it's because of the build quality of that rack - I had to use a lot of force on them. Besides that, I'm satisfied with these screws.

Handy to have for racks
Robert1398 28.05.2015
I bought these as I was unsure if the Thomann rack case came with screws (it did).
These screws are the same as the ones that come with the Thomann rack case and are handy to have as extras if you are adding units or for general maintanence.
The metal is softer than most screws, so be careful not to damage the threads. Having said that, they are strong enough to do their job without a problem.
