A premium-class microphone stand

The Latch Lake micKing 1100 is a mic stand for professional applications that will reliably keep even heavy high-end microphones in the desired position thanks to its optimised centre of gravity, die-cast metal base, and stackable counterweights. The micKing 1100 also features an innovative lever lock system, which allows the entire stand to be adjusted both quickly and easily, while the patented boom clutch features nearly 16 square inches of clampable surface area with a high coefficient of friction to prevent the boom from slipping. An effective cable management system integrated into the lever locking points rounds out the Latch Lake micKing 1100's impressive range of features.

Quality is king

The Latch Lake micKing 1100's patent-pending weighted Symmetric Torque Tripod Base is manufactured from die-cast metal and its foldable legs are made with a solid core, giving the stand a high level of stability and ensuring that the legs will not bend or droop when a heavy microphone is mounted and/or the boom is extended a long way. The hefty weight of the base additionally provides a low centre of gravity to ensure that the Latch Lake micKing 1100 won't tip over, in addition to which a 1kg (approx. 2lb) thread-on weight is included in the scope of delivery to further counterbalance the weight of the attached microphone.

Adjustable in the blink of an eye

Professional users and particularly those with very expensive or delicate microphones will certainly appreciate the high level of stability, safety, and positional flexibility provided by the Latch Lake micKing 1100, and can rest safe in the knowledge that their mics are protected against expensive mishaps. When the stand is used on stage, users will no doubt also appreciate the innovative lever lock system with fasteners that can be opened and closed quickly and with a minimum of effort, thus making setup work much easier and allowing every kind of adjustment - from stand height to boom extension and boom tilt angle - to be made in seconds.

About Latch Lake

Latch Lake Music is a US-based company headquartered in Egan, Minnesota, whose history began in the 1980s when guitar virtuoso Leo Kottke approached the company's founder Jeff Roberts to develop a metal slide to replace the glass bottlenecks he had previously been using. Two years of collaborative research and development produced a prototype whose special brass alloy gave Kottke the tone he was searching for, after which the company's product portfolio expanded year after year and now includes a wide range of bottlenecks for different sounds and styles. Latch Lake Music is also known for its high-quality microphone stands, with its micKing models in particular boasting a combination of high stability and impressive manufacturing quality.

Even for very heavy microphones

The Latch Lake micKing 1100 is ideal for both large events and professional studio environments and will capably serve as an overhead stand for recording drums or as a secure base for a heavy ambient microphone. Ensemble and choir recordings involving expensive, high-quality microphones are also no problem. The patent-pending counterweight system mentioned above allows the Latch Lake micKing 1100 to be accurately balanced in order to accommodate mics of widely varying weight, and additional counterweights of 0.5kg (approx. 1.1 pounds) and 2kg (approx. 4.4 pounds) are available as accessories in addition to the weight included in the scope of delivery.
