A solid beginners Harmonica
slugger220 14.07.2017
The real compliant I have with this is how it feels. It feels a bit cheap, but I paid around 20-25euros so I am not really complaining.

Overall, I prefer the sound of this harmonica when compared to my Hohner Special 20 actually. I should say I'm a beginner though and my knowledge is limited regarding harmonica. It feels good in the hands, other than the cheap quality feel, and seems to be able to handle most things a beginner harmonica player tries to do.

Would recommend to someone who is a beginner, and looking for a cheap harmonica to practice with.

When an instrument is beginning to sound addled I always replace it with a Lee Oskar whatever the key.I play in this particular key at least twice a week as I accompany other performers in a range of genres. These instuments have great sound quality and are superb when used with a microphone. They enhance a group experience.

Lee Oskers block up too easily and sound thin. A little on the, always needing cleaning side for some.

Hohners work great, sound great & do not block at all, last just as long and rarely need any cleaning at all. I do preffer the Hohner big river harmonica's for sound and reliability

I keep trying these as people recomend them, but they don't get any better.

I work them hard as a solo/duo performer. So use the vocal mic and need something that sounds smooth (not harsh) when blowing through the vocal mic.
These Lea Oskars are sounding thin.

We have sound guys when dou, the sound guys preffer the Hohners/voice for less "on the knobs" work out.

Best value harmonicas

I have found Lee Oskar harmonicas the best compromise between value and quality.
They are airtight and loud. I think the reeds are the most durable on the market.
And the availability of replacement plates makes them economical.
