I have an LP Salsa Line conga and tumba which I play seated. I wanted a solution to open up the bass tones as these are just damped out when playing directly on a carpeted floor. What can I say? This is just a fantastic piece of kit. It lifts the whole tonality of the drum to new heights – one small lift for the drum – one huge leap for your sound. It is easy to tilt the drum whilst on the platform and there is no slippage. If you turn your drum when tuning up or down you do need to remove from the platform as the grip otherwise makes this difficult – though this is no inconvenience in the big scheme of things. If you play seated with your congas on the floor – get this –it's simply excellent.

I really liked my self-made floor panels made of plywood and square wood. But the LP records are way better. The sound is more powerful, the sound is nicer and the congas don't slip. They look more beautiful and professional and are of excellent quality. Another plus point of the records, no matter where you play them, you always have the same surface. Gone are the different sounds between carpet, wood, etc. The only thing that always put me off was the price, but the records are definitely worth it!
