The Shadow Snare comes from Mapex's renowned Black Panther series and features a seven-layer shell construction made from a combination of birch and walnut, which creates a dark timbre full of character. As players would expect from this manufacturer, the Shadow Snare boasts impeccable craftsmanship, and it is also equipped with high-quality hardware, including the proven Sonic Saver hoops, In-Line Locking B-Lugs, and precise Cylinder Drive throw-off. The Shadow Snare additionally comes equipped with Remo Ambassador heads from the factory.

Professional features

The Black Panther Shadow Snare from Mapex measures 14" x 6.5" and comes with SONIClear bearing edges (45° batter side and 35° snare side), which, with their rounded outer edge, offer an increased skin contact surface compared to normal edges. All of the metal fixtures, such as the In-Line Locking B-Lugs and the Cylinder Drive lift-off, are mounted on rubber plates, a simple method that prevents direct contact with the shell in favour of an unhindered development of resonance. Killer snare

This snare is truly an all-rounder. It sounds good at low to high tuning and has a very distinct dark sound. It is also surprisingly sensitive given it is a deep wood snare so playing ghost notes is a pleasure.

Vielfältig, laut, exzellent verarbeitet!

Sehr vielfältige Snare, klingt sehr gut in den verschiedenen Stimmungen (tief, mittel, hoch). Selbst in der gleichen Stimmung kann man den rim shots noch verschiedene Töne entlocken, je nachdem ob man direkt im Center schlägt oder etwas daneben. Dennoch ist die auch sehr sensibel und reagiert selbst auf sehr leichten Anschlag. Und sie ist laut! Setzt sich im Rock-Bereich sehr gut durch.
Sehr gut zu stimmen, professionell verarbeitet und wird mit Stimmschlüssel geliefert.

Alles in allem eine top Snare!

J'espère la conserver tout au long de ma vie de batteur.
Ce son rond et chaleureux, un bonheur pour les oreilles (pas celles des voisins par contre).
Les fla sont particulièrement puissants je trouve.
Bref, elle correspond parfaitement à mon jeu et je peux switcher avec ma CC métallique, une tama swingstar de 78.

Ui Ui wo soll ich da anfangen ?
Am besten beim Auspacken erster Karton (Thomann) ok 2. Karton (Mapex)
3. Karton Mapex (mit hochglanzdruck der Snaredrum) das nenn ich mal
Produktpräsentation.
Innen war dann die eigentliche Snaredrum nochmal in edlem Samtsack.
Jetzt erst war erst das einzige plastiksäcklein erkennbar.
(Vorbildlich nachhaltig und wiederverwendbare Verpackung)
Und dann der erste blick ...da wars um mich geschehen.
Also die in Taiwan können also auch erstklassige trommeln bauen
nicht nur die Jungs und Mädels in Bad Berleburg.
Also ab auf den Ständer und erstmal Grobstimmung und Boooaaa.
Hab sie auf Anhieb so belassen weil ...Leider Geil...
Also Fazit ...Volle Punktezahl
...Nur über eines mach ich mir Gedanken. Warum kriegen die das aus Taiwan um ein Drittel des Preises hin wie die Renomierten Firmen ?
Ohne mal Namen zu nennen ?
