Works flawlessly!

The head does a great job at reducing the volume. There is a huge drop in volume. The rebound is a bit different, but it is still decent.

Nice low volume heads

Ordered a set of these, 10/14 for toms and 22 for kick. Also a remo equivalent for the snare for comparison.

The main purpose works really well - it's super silent.
The feel of the drums is not great, as with any mesh heads you get a more "jumpy" response.
Tone is not bad, I found that applying some extra tape will make it sound more drumlike.

I gave 3 starts for quality because the 22 head already has a serious "dent" where the beater hits it (let's say after around 80-100h of play with a felt beater). Still playable but not amazing.

Comparing to the silentstroke on my snare these heads have a touch more snap and similar tone, but for half the price i think these are amazing value.

You get what you pay for

Hi all.

Trying to be positive, they are incredibly cheap, so I guess that I can not complain to much. I got two of these heads and they are terrible for just one simple reason, THE SIZE!!!. They are not exactly 22" but somehow smaller. I had to use an already used mesh head that I had at hand so I could fit the QuiHead on top and tension it. As a direct consequence, is nearly impossible to tension it as the drum hoop does not fit properly on top of it.

Compared side by side the 22" QuiHead and the 22" Pearl muffle heads that I was using before:
- both head do not match in size when put one of top of the other, QuiHead is smaller.
-QuiHead rin is thinner in length and width.
- Playability is limited to the tension that you are able to get out of it, and as I explained, it is not the best one.

It might very well be a case that I was unlucky and got TWO wrong heads, but it sounds odd. Nevertheless, first impression is everything and I am not very happy with these.

Cheers.

Really inexpensive, but not fit for all purposes

The price is ridiculously cheap, but you do need to know that single-ply mesh heads are not going to feel like the real thing. You need the extra layer for that. However, I did get decent trigger action and feel on certain drums. They are certainly a better pick if you just need something for silent practice. The rims of the heads are usually a bit too wide and sit loosely on the drum rim, but everything works fine once you crank the head up. Heads are quit resilient for their density and can take a beating, but that's the beauty of mesh.
