4

Nut File

  • With industrial diamond coating
  • Diameter: 0.020" / 0.51 mm
  • Grit size: 280
  • 44 mm Filing surface
  • Innovative, round file design ('string-shape') for smooth, precise cuts
  • Laser-engraved size on the blade
  • Ergonomic handle and practical hole for hanging on the workbench
  • Perfect for simultaneous filing and polishing for new or existing nut slots
  • Ideal for most common nut materials (nylon, bone, graphite, TUSQ) and even works great on saddles

Note: With proper use, the MusicNomad nut file with diamond coating will last a very long time. Originally known from industrial applications, diamond is considered one of the most durable abrasives available. Only use these files for nuts made of bone, graphite, plastic or TUSQ materials, or for brass or zinc saddles. The files are not suitable for steel. Clean the files regularly with a brush to remove filing residues from the gaps in the diamond coating. If the grinding effect on the front part of the file wears off, the file can be rotated at the handle to position the less-used rear part towards the front.

Gets the job done.

I bought the custom set of files to go from E standard (9 - 42) to D (11 - 56). Worked like a charm. Just make sure to run files thru some spare piece of plastics or wood to remove rough particles on the blade before cutting a nut.
