Versatile and great sounding

I don't have the full-size King of Tone to compare this to, but the sound of this pedal is fantastic and can give you quite a large variety of tones, thanks to the mode toggle switch. I really like the small form factor, and the build quality is top notch. One thing I did note is that the output volume of the second mode is quite a lot louder than mode 1 and 3, so you'll need to compensate if you're switching modes (in fairness it is a boost mode!). I use this as a desktop style tweaking pedal with a range of instruments, guitars and synths, and it provides a nice range of crunch and saturation tones.

A bit pricey but great overdrive
DShustov 15.02.2024
You get what you expect classic bluesbreaker scheme with Analogman twist.
Transparent, airy smooth overdrive or boost. Great for stacking.
In OD you would not get much volume boost, and dist mode is a bit too compressed. But I experienced the same thing when I had original KoT.

Overall you got nice low to mid gain overdrive. A tad pricey, but Analogman needs his royalty too, I suppose.

And do not forget about treble trimpot inside. Original KoT delivered with treble all the way down, but DoT comes with treble halfway up. So, if DoT feels too trebbly, you can tame it with internal trimpot adjustment.

One of those must have pedals.

Fantastic product with magic inside. It just make your guitar sounds better. That toggle switch let's you fine dial amount of clipping and compression you want. Very musical on any settings and works great with other pedals. I highly recommend it if you are into low gain blues kind of vibe.

Small and great

I have two of these now, they are so good, so I basically have a king of tone with two pedals. I use mainly the overdrive and boost channels and its perfect for Rock guitar. Just enough compression with losing dynamics! Classic rock tone.
