I use these to connect cables into and out of my pedal board and they work great. They're stereo, but work just fine with mono instrument cables. For soldering, the tags are small, but they are spaced far apart and you have lots of space, so it's easy. The mechanism for securing the cable and strain relief is excellent, and the rubber bushing on the end stretches over large diameter cables so you probably won't need to trim it.

Only negative is that the locking mechanism doesn't hold the jack as firmly as you might expect - it gives a little when you pull on it. It is secure enough to do the job though.

Without competition
Stephan7664 18.02.2014
This Jack is without competition. It has the typical Neutrik-style screw-in strain relief and jacket known from their X-series connectors, but with one important difference. The connector part is held in place with a screw, so you first untighten the jacket, then remove the screw and slide it out the front.
The connection is solid, although there is a little bit of wiggle-room for the plug when fully inserted.

Very Handy

I use it in my studio to send signals from control room to recording room. I feel its quality when i touch it, i think this is a quite important thing to have. I've never had problems while in-out the jack.

Solid, High Quality!

This is built extremely well. It does show you on any of the diagrams, but to wire it up.. Theres a little screw I the side. Unscrew that, and the whole jack socket slides out from the front, allowing you to solder to it. It works really well, and is just another great representation of Neutrik's flawless build quality and design.

I use this to extend the cable from my guitar, to my wireless receiver. I use a Strandberg Guitar (which is incredible by the way) and a Line 6 G10 Relay. The problem I was finding is, the little transmitter would slide its way out of the jack socket when pressed against my leg. So i've built a little cable to place the jack socket higher up on my strap so its not an issue.

This adaptor has allowed me to do that. Looks great in black to.
