JC
Red coding ring
JL Cook 26.04.2020
Fits perfectly on Neutrik connectors, the dark red color makes it more subtle and less eye-catching than other bright colors, but it is highly noticeable if you want to identify the cable.
To put it on you will need to unscrew the connector barrel and replace the stock one, usually black. This ring won't fall of or move along the cable, it will always stay lock onto the connector making it permanently marked without using labels that leave glue residues.

Darker colour than in picture
lrh - ldn 13.04.2020
See above... not as bright a red as you'd expect from the product photo. Has its advantages (harder to see on stage) and its disadvantages (harder to see on stage).
Very useful for colour coding cables, easy to change once you've unscrewed the XLR plug.

HL
Cables in good order
Heikki L. 22.09.2013
This part helps you keep your cables sorted. It is very easy to check which cable is going where when you can see the colour at the end of the cable. It was very easy to install and it costs practically nothing.

The ring is easy to change without unsoldering the connection, you just have to pull a little harder on the old ring and it pops out.
The ring is a bit darker than in the photo, but I like that.
