For a small, portable controller that can be used anywhere this is excellent. It has all of the basic controls to browse and load songs, play and fade between them along with both jog and basic scratch functionality.
One potential downside is that it doesn't have dedicated EQ controls, which may be an issue for some but in my case I have remapped the track level controls as bass/filter which works well enough.
The browse controls in the middle are really useful, making it much more fluid to select tracks and load them onto the decks without constantly having to reach for the mouse.
I chose between this and the Hercules Starlight and opted for this because it's smaller (fits in a bag better), looks more professional (the lights on the Hercules are fun perhaps look a but childish), and it has the browse controls.
The build quality is good. Obviously not quite up to the standard of more professional controllers but very sturdy, functional and great for the price.
It would be a great start for beginners or as a simple, small controller to keep handy for working on sets, practising or just playing around I think it's superb.
