The oscillations of the strings are read individually by each piezoelectric element. Subsequently, the signal is processed by software algorithms, which are based on the intensive study of different guitar types. Since there is no conversion to MIDI instructions, there is no latency. Guitar-specific techniques such as string bending, hammer-ons, pull-offs and slides are not a problem. There is absolutely no hum from the guitar since it doesnt use magnetic pickups.
All Line 6 Variax models have one thing in common: They are not artificial instruments; they feel like completely normal electric guitars, though they lack conventional pickups, and play like any other guitar.
At the bottom of the body youll notice that there are two outputs: a conventional 1/4 out that can be run to a conventional amp, DI box or mixing desk and the digital output for direct connection to other Line 6 equipment.
