The new tom arms are great. They do have the flexibility of movement they promise. The key is do they have the stability that other gyro mechanisms have failed to achieve and so far, they are extremely sturdy. The traditional Pearl mounts are hard to beat for robustness and confidence. These do seem to be a genuine equivalent in a Gyro lock.
