Great for sweaty hands

This model is coated with rubber. Some people say it melts at hot areas. So far, that never happened to me. Instead, I felt that the coat definitely makes the grip better and not just a gimmick. You'll get used to the length after some time.

Sharp Attack

This is the first Pro Mark I've ever used. As a sessionist, honestly I'm very loyal to my brands but this time it was the how every Pro Mark is made, Active Grip and Colour that attracted me.

It was a leap of faith. Years of playing my regular pair made me break a tradition, explore and colaborate with a new brand.

The perfect weight, steady grip and responsive rebound gives me the right tone on every stroke which now makes these sticks a permanent pair in my arsenal.

PS
Disappointed

I love Pro Mark sticks. They are my "go-to" choice. Never an issue, especially the Active Grip. I use this so I am comfortable playing without the worry of dropping a stick too often (or not at all). 5A worked great for me but I thought I could use a lighter gauge so it's lighter to handle overall, without too much fatigue, especially playing for over 2hours set.
So I went for the 7A. I own a pair of standard 7A for few years now and they do all what I want, so I was happy to get 7A in Active Grip ... until my last gig, and within 1hour into the gig, first time using them, the olive tip split in two... I mean it can happen but after few gigs I don't mind, and, again, I am usually very satisfied with Pro Mark, but the quality on those was not good, especially to break within 1hour. Not good at all. Maybe a bad batch...but I think I'll "stick" to 5A for a while. I think I wasted €17 overall

Good quality & grip
Anonymous 05.01.2017
These sticks have become my favourite sticks and I use them over my previous Pro Mark sticks. They have a great bounce and pronounce a good sound on both skins and cymbals.

The active grip works well. The paint on the bottom half of the stick is slightly tacky, making it easier to grip when using faster. The tackiness increases slightly when you "drum harder" (a.k.a. your hands get sweatier) making it easier to grip.

These sticks are of a good, high quality and I would definitely recommend them.
