Pro Mark TXR5AN 5A Hickory - Nylon Tip

Recently I purchased two pairs of Pro Mark TXR5AN 5A Hickory - Nylon Tip. I play drums in a range of settings and like to work with a stick that suits all these areas. Pro Mark remain to be my go to stick and have always been a quality product. Pro Mark interests me further due to their tree re- plating schemes. Conservation is an area that I am keenly aware of and I feel as drummers we all need to tap into seeing that so much of our instrument and sticks are wood based.
What caught my eye with the Pro Mark TXR5AN 5A Hickory - Nylon Tip, was the natural finish, not only because of the beautiful finish of the natural Hickory but because again from an eco conversational view point the reduction of lacquered based finishes appealed to me.
Initially when first handling the stick it felt that there may be a problem with grip due to there smooth natural finish. From this initial handling I used the sticks during a rock and blues set and found the sticks be very responsive and as i got more familiar with the stick my technique adjusted to suit and the grip was not an issue.
Keep up the good work Pro Mark and I look forward to further developments in the area of conversation awareness.

Super Stick mit super Grip!

Ich spiele die Pro Mark 5A Natural Sticks mit Nylon Tips jetzt seit knapp 2 Jahren und bin mehr als zufrieden damit.

Sämtliche Exemplare, die ich bisher in den Händen hatte, sind identisch von Durchmesser, Länge und Gewicht, was leider nicht bei allen Herstellern die Regel ist.
Die Verarbeitung ist super, dadurch haben die Sticks auch bei kräftigerer Spielweise eine sehr hohe Lebensdauer. In den 2 Jahren, seit ich sie spiele, ist mir noch nicht ein Stick gesplittert oder gebrochen und die Nylon Tips sind auch noch hervorragend in Schuss.

Die unbehandelte Oberfläche sorgt auch bei schwitzigen Händen immer für optimalen Grip. Allerdings kann es vorkommen, dass man während der Umstellungsphase auf dieses Modell mal eine Blase an den Fingern bekommt, was aber sicher auch eine Frage der Technik ist. Insgesamt ist der Stick gut ausbalanciert, nicht zu kopflastig, wie es bei vielen Modellen der Fall sein kann.

Alles in allem also ein super Stick, für jede Musikrichtung zu gebrauchen und mit dem man lang Freude am Spielen haben kann.

Está claro que depende de gustos, pero lo cierto es que se han convertido en mis baquetas favoritas. El tacto rugoso hace que sean muy seguras y no se resbalen, y aunque al principio pueda parecer incómodo, se le acaba cogiendo el gusto al tacto natural de la madera sin tratar. Lo único malo para mí es el poco peso que tienen, ya que las prefiero más pesadas.

La baguette la plus fragile du monde ?

La baguette s'est fissurée après seulement quelques minutes de jeu. Pour une baguette à près de 13¤, je m'attendais à mieux. Dire que j'avais acheté des baguettes avec olives en nylon justement pour qu'elles durent plus longtemps... Certainement une mauvaise série de chez Pro Mark, puisque toutes les autres baguettes de cette marque achetées au même moment se sont révélées extrêmement fragiles elles aussi.
