I spent 3 weeks trying to figure out what was causing a loud static in my setup. Bought a new pair of cables and my setup is functioning perfectly now

The lead is very noisy. I thought it's bad soldering so I've re-soldered the plugs. Still very noisy. Looks like the cable is very old, and the copper is oxidised. Goes to bin.
