The Proel DIVA15A stands out in the crowded mid-price segment of active full-range speakers with its powerful sound performance, thanks to a 15" woofer, a Class D power amplifier, and an FIR filter. An easy-to-use mixer with sound presets is also an integral part of the package. And this speaker can be used for more than just audience-facing sound reinforcement: A quick glance at the housing reveals both its shape – a practical monitor wedge – and its flexible fittings, as it can also be elevated or flown. This makes the DIVA15A just as multifunctional as its little sister, the DIVA12A, but with an even deeper bass and greater maximum sound pressure. Flexibility is the watchword when it comes to connectivity, too, with Bluetooth for mobile devices, and USB ports for performers who prefer wireless microphones on stage. The ports can be quickly fitted with the necessary wireless devices, which are widely available at practically every price point.
The 15" woofer, with its 2.5" voice coil, delivers a rich, rounded bass with a maximum peak output of 1000W and 129dB SPL, and a frequency range starting at 45Hz. The treble is provided by a 1" compression driver, with a 1.35" voice coil and titanium cone. Before all that comes into play, though, a DSP with 24-bit conversion and FIR filters optimises the sound, which is fed directly into the integrated mixer. The mixer itself has two combination inputs, suitable for dynamic microphones, Proel's own range of wireless microphones, and guitar or line signals – as well as another input for media input via Bluetooth or mini jack socket. It couldn't be easier to find the optimum sound settings; the one-button control knob and the full-colour display make accessing the comprehensive range of sound presets child's play. With four M10 flying points integrated into the top and bottom of the DIVA15A's sturdy polypropylene housing, the speaker is soon prepped for take-off. Equally, it can be safely carried using its ergonomically shaped handles or easily placed on a suitable stand.
The Proel DIVA15A's one-button operation makes it a great option for beginners: Five sound presets – individually tailored for music, live acts, powerful DJ beats, speech, and monitoring – also simplify handling, making the Proel an interesting option for the rental market, too. Smaller bands can connect their full complement of dynamic microphones, guitars, and line signals, and comedians, for example, can play musical interludes from their smartphones via Bluetooth, with a range of up to 15 metres from the stage. Touring solo artists will benefit not just from the DIVA12A's all-round flexibility, but also from the unit's ergonomically shaped transport handles. Operators of multifunctional venues, on the other hand, get a speaker that's suitable for both FOH sound reinforcement and on-stage monitoring. And everyone from fitness trainers to presenters and preachers can connect any of the widely-available and inexpensive wireless microphones to the DIVA's USB ports.

All Proel DIVA speakers have the capability of playing Bluetooth media in stereo – thanks to the automatic Stereo Link button. By setting up two speakers, and connecting the main out of the first speaker to one of the second speaker's line inputs via an optional XLR cable, both speakers will play the same source: Users only have to select the same sound settings on both speakers. Similarly, if a venue already has an external mixing console, its left and right main outs can be directly wired into one of each speaker's line inputs, for effortless stereo sound reinforcement. For wireless transmission – for instance with the Proel U24H handheld mics or the Proel U24B headsets, useful accessories available for surprisingly low prices – the devices' receiver modules are simply plugged into the speaker's USB sockets, quickly giving bands and entertainers two wireless mics.
