Die Sounds sind allesamt Topp. Die gesplitteten Sounds (Single Coil) sind dabei kaum leiser als die Humbucker, was ich bei anderen Gitarren ganz anders erlebt habe. Man kann mit dem Teil eigentlich alles spielen. Die Handhabung ist Geschmackssache, mir liegt sie allerdings. Der Hals fühlt sich gut an und die Gitarre ist schön ausbalanciert. Die Verarbeitung ist einwandfrei und die Gitarre kam gut eingestellt an, was leider die große Ausnahme ist. Da gibt sich PRS offenbar etwas mehr Mühe als andere Hersteller.
Der Maple Hals fühlt sich zwar gut an, hat aber im Vergleich zu Verbundhälsen oder anderen Harthölzern einen kleinen, aber speziell bei Gigs lästigen Nachteil. Bei wechselnder Temperatur/Luftfeuchte driftet die Stimmung recht schnell. D.h. permanentes Nachstimmen ist angesagt. Ist bei einem Gig zwar ohnehin Standard, aber hier besonders ausgeprägt.
Trotzdem behalte ich das Teil. Sie ist einfach schön, klingt gut und ist komfortabel zu spielen.
Locking Tuner wären noch wünschenswert, aber das kostet halt. Da kommen demnächst Schaller drauf. Die haben sich auch schon bei meiner SE Hollowbody bewährt.
