I've been using the Puresound E1412for more than 3 years, and I'm very pleased for the results, specially on recording situations. Personally, I recommend using wires insted of strips to hold it to the drum, it makes full contact on the drum head surface, giving more controlled response.
If you're looking for a sharp and fast snare, this is probably one of the best choices, the amount of wires on the sides prevent (not at a 100%, but more that the traditional wiring) the sympathetic buzzer from the toms and bass drum, and provides a clearer sound.
For those who play some types of funk, metal, fusion or even pop-rock, this wire is going to deliver good results, because it stands out the more tight the bottom head and the wires are.
In con, I must say that having the wires mid tight or loose don't make the drum sound great, and the sympathetic buzz becomes a real issue, which is one of the purpose of these wires.
Also, I would appreciate if the wires came with a holding strip or wire, just in case it's not for a replacement and you don't have anything to tight it to the drum.
