First class snares!

After using several other Puresound models, I decided to try this model.

I fitted the Equalizer on two of my Ludwig metal snare drums: one a Steel snare, the other one a Chrome Over Brass. The result was fantastic, with a nice, crisp, dry balance between tone and snare. This was achieved very quickly, with the minimum amount of fuss.

The snare response is very even. It is responsive, and controlled. This particular combination of snare wires and spaces enhances the attack, and minimises buzz. The construction and quality are first class. I was bowled over, and these are now some of my favourite snares.

Tight and crisp

My Ludwig Epic's original snare wires broke, and I looked for a replacement. Didn't know there were different kinds, but did a little reading and ordered this. Haven't used it for very long yet, but holds up fine. The snare sounds tighter and crisper than it used to, and there's definitely less sympathetic buzz.

I wasnt expecting a big sensation when i switched to this one. Yes some sympathetic snarebuzz is still there. BUT overall its less buzz, a more controlled and a more luxourius and musical sound.

Nice strainer

This is a nice upgrade from a stock strainer. It's designed to take away unwanted buzz, and it works pretty good. Great quality as always from Pure Sound. I've not broken one yet! I have several.
