High quality cable, but not fit for purpose
Eudeboy 30.12.2020
I bough this, under the impression it was compatible with Rockboard pedalboards, however it does not fit through the slotted grid of the Rockboard Quad 4.1. As a result I can't use it.
Like all Rockboard products, this is a very high quality item, however it does not meet it's primary design function. I would send this back, however it would cost too much post back to Germany from the UK, so it'll just have to go in the spares bin as it's too short to be used as a regular XLR cable.
Ultimately, if you want to an XLR cable as part of your pedalboard, I would advise others to look elsewhere for a solution that works.

Barely the right size
Kevin Hide Bass 05.02.2021
Interesting that this is marketed at being a cable made for the Rockboard, "flat" so that it fits through the hole unlike a regular XLR. They do, but you have to push, and I mean push, very very hard to get it through the hole. It is a very tight fit indeed, and you do feel like you're either going to damage the board or the plug pushing it through. Board is a Tres 3.1 bought in December, so a current model. Very strange. Otherwise, cable appears top notch in quality.

OK
They don't fit through the Rockboard properly
Owen K. 29.07.2024
The product description says they'll fit in the holes/slats - I assume they were measured to fit in an unpainted board, but when you try they actually scrape the paint off your Rockboard.

They're also extremely long connectors which really don't have a place on a pedalboard where space is at a premium. These stick out about 6cm from your pedal blocking the ability to put in any other pedals in that area. Rockboard should come up with a better solution, there are ultra compact XLR connectors now on the market, I'm buying those instead.

XLR Patch Kabel mit Schwächen.
el_murdoque 17.09.2021
