Rockboard StageTuner ST-02 B-Stock

A tuner is undoubtedly a fundamental part of every guitar or bass player's musical arsenal. The RockBoard StageTuner ST-02 delivers precise tuning to satisfy all requirements and lends itself primarily to use in rack systems courtesy of its 19" format. The easy-to-read LED display is bright without being dazzling, and is also clearly visible from a distance. In addition to a standard mode, the RockBoard StageTuner ST-02 also features a strobe mode, which employs flashing LEDs to provide even greater legibility, and a tuning range of eight octaves, which is capable of tuning practically any guitar or bass, no matter how low or high the corresponding string needs to be tuned. The StageTuner ST-02 is delivered with two rack-mounting adapters and the eight M4 screws required for installation.

The RockBoard StageTuner ST-02 boasts an extensive tuning range, starting at B1 (15.44Hz) and extending to C8 (4,186.0Hz), and works with an accuracy of +/-1 cent. The calibration potential of the reference/concert pitch is just as generous, encompassing a range of 432 to 445Hz. Two different options are available for connecting the respective instrument: A jack socket on the front of the tuner and a second socket at the rear. The output socket is also located at the rear, via which the ST-02 can be permanently integrated into the signal chain for operation in a rack. Loss of sound is also prevented courtesy of the tuner's true bypass switching: When the bypass switch on the far right of the control panel is pressed, the output is muted, and the signal chain is interrupted to avoid unnecessary disturbances for the audience or the rest of the band.

The Rockboard StageTuner ST-02's 19" rack format alone highlights the fact that it is aimed at professional users who are looking for an extremely responsive, precise, and easy-to-read tuner for their rack system. The ST-02 is more than a match for these requirements, providing excellent visibility in even the darkest of rehearsal rooms or on dimly lit stages with its huge and highly luminous display – a feature that is further enhanced by the inclusion of strobe mode, which uses flashing arrows for even greater legibility. Incidentally, owners of RockBoard pedalboards will not need a rack to integrate the ST-02 into their systems, as the (optionally available) RockBoard QuickMounts provide a stable means of securing the tuner to one of the many RockBoard pedalboards.
