My XLR N1 looks cool with this nut but beforehand it was just all black, it makes it seem to stick out more.
Absolutely amazing product though. Its well made, strong, looks professional. Just as good if not better than the original in build quality and feel.

Better than the one that came with the mic
Anonymous 12.05.2016
I was glad to find this item, because the original mounting ring that came with my Rode NT2-A had a bad thread and would not attach properly to the microphone. I should have returned it at the time of purchase, but didn't. It only held the mic loosely in place, and I was concerned that the thread on the mic might become damaged over time.
Anyway, this replacement mounting ring is much better than the original: it screws on smoothly and allows me to attach the mic securely to the cradle.

A second one can be essential
Anonymous 14.01.2017
No matter how well you look after your gear sometimes something goes missing.
When that mic holder, mic cable or mic ring is gone it will slow or bring the whole recording session to a halt!
Having a backup Mounting Ring for your prized Rode mic is essential and my save some headaches in the future!

It does the job
Daniel Nica 13.12.2022
It does what it's meant to do, it holds the microphone perfectly attached to the support. If you change microphones frequently, in time it will leave skids on the clamp from the friction.
