About Rode

Founded in Sydney, Australia in 1990, Rode is a specialist in high-quality studio microphones. With its very first in-house, completely Australian-built model, the NT2 large-diaphragm microphone, the company created a classic which is still produced in its current and enhanced version, the NT2-A. An extensive range of studio and live microphones has also been added, regularly updated, and expanded over the years. These new additions include a variety of professional microphones which are designed for video and mobile applications and can be connected directly to SLR cameras or smartphones.

Up to many challenges

The Rode VideoMic Go II masters a wide range of challenges and is an excellent addition to compact cameras and other mobile devices. The "VideoMic" can be easily mounted directly on the camera thanks to the integrated hot shoe fixture provided by the Rycote shock mount. An additional 3/8" thread also allows mounting on a boom, pistol grip, or standard microphone stand. The USB output also allows it to be used as a desktop USB microphone for podcasts or streaming on a computer, and it can also be connected to smartphones or tablets in the same way. Especially noteworthy is that the TRS output in USB mode serves as a headphone output for convenient monitoring.

Einfach Perfekt

An excellent little mic. Small, lightweight and very versatile. Good connectivity and pretty quiet noise floor. Certainly represents good value for money.

Mega Sound! Absolut einfaches Handling!
Peter Mix 14.02.2022
