I thought that they were good for outdoor use but these windscreens do not protect the recording even with the slightest breeze. Ideal for indoor use though, where they can replace a standard foam. They provide good physical protection to the mic, and best of all, they do not reduce the high frequencies.

I'm mostly using this indoors on set and location if there's any cross breeze. It's easy to pop it on and off. I've used it outdoors in a light wind for field recording and it worked fine.

Alternative zu guten Schaumstoffwindschützen

Der Baseball besteht aus sehr offenporigem Material mit einem weichen Stoffüberzug und ist akustisch überraschend transparent. Ich setze ihn für Indooranwendungen an der Angel ein. Bezüglich der Dämpfung von Windgeräuschen ist er mit einem guten Schaumstoffwindschutz vergleichba, aber auch nicht viel besser. Also ohne das zusätzlich erhältliche Fell nicht für Outdooraufnahmen geeignet.
