Rycote Overcovers Advanced Black

I do field recording with a variety of microphones and recordings, and will be using these for a fairly specific purpose. I got the idea from the "Free to Use Sounds" youtube channel.

So, basically I use two different types of binaural microphones, I have a couple of pairs of soundman OKMs, the really cheap ones and the midrange ones. I also have the Roland CS-10 EM binaurals (now discontinued) Both of these brands of microphones come with only light foam wind protection. The Roland ones clip on externally and the Soundman are round foam covers that fit over the mic. Soundman are kind enough to include spares

I have used both sets of mics in mostly urban environments and they are unusable with even a 5-10km p/h breeze. So, I will glue the overcovers onto the exterior (recording side) of the microphones for wind protection. For the little I spent (12 euros) this is a pretty good deal,

I imagine they will suit my recording requirements for most situations.
Soundman make a set of fluffy earmuffs which can go over their microphones, but I will try this cheaper solution first (and with the cheaper mics first)

Soy sonidista en producciones audiovisuales desde hace 13 años y esto es de lo mejor, sino lo mejor, que he encontrado para el tema de esconder micros. Por resultados y rapidez. El fur que tiene absorbe muy los posibles roces con capas de ropa, o pelo, y es acústicamente trasparente. Eso si, si lo que produce el ruido es la fricción de las capas de ropa entre si, esto no te lo va a quitar evidentemente. Yo lo uso tanto en exterior como en interior (siempre que puedo). Y los stickies aunque no son reusables, son muy rápidos y fáciles de poner. Los prefiero muchas veces antes incluso que los concealer de DPA o el molenkin y otros accesorios de URSA o Bubblebee.
