I'm Blown Away!
Mark from USA 18.08.2021
I've been on the search for the ideal 5 string bass for about a year now. I experimented with a couple different 35" scale instruments that were very nice, but I was unable to get comfortable with that scale length. Having a 4 string Sandberg TT4, I decided to try this bass. Wow! What an amazing instrument this TM5 is!

Everything about this instrument is of the highest quality and it plays like an absolute dream. Every single time I pick this beauty up, I've got an instant smile on my face and have a very hard time putting it down.

The playability is extraordinary. The tones are versatile and familiar at the same time. Overall sound is fantastic. And, contrary to popular belief, this 34" scale B string is tight, punchy and perfect. I'm very fortunate to own such an amazing bass, and will probably never part with this one. It's that good! And in my opinion as the owner of a few Fender instruments, there is no comparison in terms of value for the money, and overall quality. Sandberg is THE brand that every bass player must try!

Pros: Looks, playability, sound/tones, B String, neck feel, not heavy in weight. Balances well on a strap. Very comfortable body, zero fret, action can get very low.

Cons: I need a few more of these in my life at some point, and I will make that happen over a short period of time, hopefully.

Blind Buy

I was on a search for a 5 string, versatile, workhorse bass for over 2 years. As a musician living in Qatar, there aren't many music stores here and the ones that are here only stock a handful of brands. I saw this bass on Thomann (Who I buy all my gear from- You rock Thomann!) and did my research. I had to trust the reviews and videos I saw online and buy this bass without trying it out. I am quite fussy about neck profile and sound and as a bassists who plays multiple styles: Bebop, Latin, Swing, Pop and Blues I was looking for a bass that could do it all. I'm happy to say that this bass does it for me. German engineering at its best with good value for money. In this price range, Sandberg outweighs its competitors in quality, build and sound. Well Done!

Erstklassiger Bass
Anonymous 11.04.2016
