Extremely pleased
Jaron Summers 07.07.2023
My first 7-string, and my first MS, and my first non-cheap guitar.

Really thrilled with this guitar. The finish is good, the bat inlays look great, the fretboard is pleasant, the wiring is sound, the pickups are needs-suiting.

The setup from the factory was also quite good. I had to make minor adjustments to one or two bridge height screws, but the overall action and intonation were pretty close with no changes.

Also pleased with the strings that came on it. I found the feel of bending to be extremely similar on all strings. Both Es are slightly stiffer than the other 5, but not by very much. The low B does rattle (not enough to be heard by the pickup) a bit, so you may want something thicker if you plan to tune it down much. Schecter say they're Ernie Ball, (.009/.011/.016/.026/.036/.046/.062) which as far as I can tell is not a set Ernie Ball makes, it seems like it is a 6-string "Hybrid Slinky" plus a .062 nickel-wound steel. Works great, though.

The only complaint I have is a minor one: the nut is sharp on the high side of the guitar, so if you slide up the high strings too fast, you're in for a painful surprise. Probably easy enough to round off with a file, though, if you wish.

Nice guitar but couple disappointments
Vasyl Khymynets 09.05.2024
Came with a small crack on the back side of the body (on the lacquer coating). Also the tone knob has a little clearance. But in general - ergonomic and very good sounding guitar.
