I was looking for a spare fanfret guitar for live shows and instantly fell in love with the looks of this guitar. I searched a couple of reviews on the tube and I was convinced to buy this guitar.
My first impression of unboxing was surprising. The quality of the guitar finish and overall look was super good. The neck profile, action and satin finish felt nice in the hand straight away. Dark rosted maple neck looks awsome and the frets are finished nicely. Tuners are working as they should and its easy to fine tune the strings.
The acoustic sound feels really resonating, mostly because of the mahogany body and the maple neck. Hooked into amp the the lack of the output and diversity from these stock pickups was Instantly noticed, comparing into my LTD fanfres with seymour duncans that are really hot passive pickups. Lack of output is of course, easily fixed with minor input gain adjustment on the amp. The only minor issue that I had to tackle a bit - was getting my pick hand position so didn't constantly hit the neck pickup with my pick, since the pickup is adjusted surprisingly high for my taste.
Overall, this guitar is super easy to play and I started to fit into my playstyle instantly. It looks, sounds and feels really good and for those that are looking for a fanfret guitar in low budget - I highly recommend buying this guitar.
