Das Schilke 6A4a ist was für geübte Bläser. Brillante Höhen erreicht man mit diesem Mundstück dank des abgerundeten Polsterrandes sehr gut, auch über eine längere Spielzeit. Trotz des engen Kessels spricht es in den Tiefen noch relativ gut an.

Die gute Verarbeitung des Mundstücks spricht für Schilke. Das Mundstück ist nach meinen Erfahrungen nur für Bläser geeignet, die auch sonst ständig auf einem engeren Kessel blasen. Trompeter, die einen weiteren Kessel (über 16,5 mm) bevorzugen, dürften mit dem Mundstück Probleme haben, da die Lippen bei hohen Tönen in den engen Kessel rutschen. Fazit ist, dass brillante Höhen halt nur durch ständiges Üben erreicht werden. Mit dem Schilke 6A4a wird dies erheblich erleichtert!
