I bought a Schlagwerk Cajon about two years ago and use it in many different bands. For comfort I had also bought a cushion pad from the provider but not a branded one. It didn't seem to make much difference really to the comfort but wasn't sure because I hadn't tried another make. Last year I had left the cushion at a gig and lost it, so this year decided to buy another. Because I was purchasing something from Thomann already I decided to add the Schlagwerk cushion pad as the price was good and the delivery would be free. When I first tried the new pad I noticed a big difference. It grips the cajon well and does not slip as the other had done during a gig. It feels of good quality and des the job well. Sometimes it does curl up when leaning forward on the cajon, but easily settles itself again. When this wears out or I am unfortunate to lose it again, I would purchase the same. Very happy with this.

spongy
Drumaddict 01.10.2020
the sp20 is soft spongy pad which makes it more comfortable when sitting on your cajon. it is cheaper than the other pads/cushions on the market but isnt that thick so i wouldnt advise sitting on it for a long period of time. then again, having used other cajon cushions i wouldnt advise sitting on a cajon for a long period of time anyway. it gets uncomfortable no matter what.

A useful sit upon
Seex 28.04.2014
As with the case I admit it felt like a bit of a luxury buying this little mat but as someone with a bony bum I am so glad I did. Despite being quite thin the mat just takes the edge off of the raw wooden surface of the Cajon and means you can sit comfortably for longer. Last time I took it out busking I was playing for about two hours solid without any adverse side effects in the botty dept! It stays in place and doesn't move around, even when being transported so the adhesion is good. (If left on top of the Cajon in the bag it even adds a little protection.
It may seem a frippery but it's a useful one!
