Used in combination with an SH-1n humbucker with 5 way switch. On its own the STL-1b produces perfect vintage Tele sound. With the humbucker the tonal variations are amazing.

Classic Blackguard tones!
Anonymous 25.04.2016
I bought this pickup to replace the G&L USA made MFD pickup in my G&L Asat Classic Tribute guitar (also from Thomann). The MFD was actually a great pickup but I had problems with microphonic feedback (a common problem with these pups apparently) and I really wanted the classic early 50s Tele tone, without spending loads of cash on a boutique set. Anyway, the pickup arrived, along with the Vintage ?54 neck counterpart but when I took it to my luthier chap to be fitted, it didn?t work!! So I sent it back to Thomann, who instantly replaced it with one that did work, so top marks to Thomann for excellent customer service. Anyway, got the pup fitted and now my guitar has been transformed into a snarling rock n?roll machine, simply a great tone. My luthier, who normally uses boutique pickups, said that these pickups sound great! And he is right...great price too!

Great sounding pickup. Has the classic Tele twang. Quality is great as expected with Seymour Duncan.
Unfortunately there was an error. Please try again later.
