This multicore cable is very flexible, has a thick, hard to cut but very soft outer jacket, and nice wires inside. It is, however a little big for a cable carrying two signals, as there are two fibre-fillers each as big as a sub-cable. The 4-pair version of this cable is just as thick. The wires besides the big outer jacket are easily stripped (I use a professional Stripax automatic wirestripper) and soldered.
My use of this cable was to connect a preamp to my DSLR Camera. The cable barely fit into a 5-pin XLR connector with the help of some tools to cut oof parts of the strain-relief inside the connector. I used an Amphenol 5 pin XLR, which is like the Neutrik XX series, but cheaper. For this cable, it was a mistake since the Amphenol's plastic for the strain relief is hard and brittle, and it was easy to break of too much. Neutricks strain relief is softer and not brittle at all, so next time I will spend the extra cash.
Mounting on the other side was using an industrial strain relief. For this cable you should use a trumpet, as the screw0type strain reliefs can create a sharp bend in this cable.
