Okay Fellas so the Pedal is amazing. This new Source Audio format is genius and any further pedals that feature this layout will also be winners. It's easy enough to get good sounds from the pedal itself and save those on a hardware level. The Software is amazing and gives you more than you can imagine - specifically on the Artifakt.
Essentially "Arti" DSP has several noise generators, a time based engine, LFOs, Ring Mods, Sample Rate Reduction, Overdrive, Distortion, EQ and Compressor (I am probably forgetting something) that all can be set up, and way more intuitively than you'd think. This pedal can convincingly do an insane amount of effects and Source Audio effect quality is top notch, even and especially with distortion, as the LA Lady proved to many.
BUT THIS IS NOT WHY I'M WRITING THIS. I was so bothered by one thing - when you want to switch presets with the foot switches you press both at the same time and enter scroll mode. Then you press the left and right buttons to preset up and down. So far so good. Now to get you out of scroll mode you have to press both buttons at the same time again. Now if you have your foot off the pedal and try to press both at the same time - the time window for the pedal registering a simultaneous press is very very small. You end up pressing just one button first in the eyes of the pedal, thus ending up a preset below or above the one you wanted.
TODAY I figured out the solution and it's a technique: When you end up on the preset you want, DON'T LIFT YOUR FOOT! Just keep the button that got you there pressed - which causes no problems or auto scrolling - and roll your foot on the other button. Hold a little moment, lift foot, done. It's actually super fast and reliable and this must be the intended use and how the people at Source Audio use it but nowhere is it described and this technique just made the pedal much more usable for me.
